Taster trips on the D212 and D213 staem trains
Experience it for yourself - the Zillertalbahn steam train
For just 5 euros per person, you can enjoy your first steam train ride between Mayrhofen and Kaltenbach!
You can experience a taste of the fascination of steam travel on the two steam trains D212 and D213.
Children between the ages of 6 an d15 travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
These taster train rides are available betwenn 1st June and 30th September 2012.
D212 leaves Mayrhofen at 1.34 pm, arrives in Kaltenbach at 2.08 pm
D213 leaves Kaltenbach at 3.02 pm, arrives in Mayrhofen at 3.46 pm
Attention!! on Monday the 2nd July 2012 to the end of August 2012 the trial run steam trains D212 and D213 only to Aschau
(basic renovation work at the station Kaltenbach)

Ticket upgrade for steam trains
If you are already in possession of a valid VVT single or day ticket for the Zillertlbahn railway, then you can upgrade you standard VVT ticket to a steam train ticket (supplementary charge applies).
"Move down a gear" and enjoy the leisurely pace of a nostalgic journey back in time on our steam train.
You can purchase your ticket upgrade at any of the Zillertalbahn railway stations or from the steam train conductor.
Family-friendly fares
From now on parents travelling with their children on the steam train need only pay their own fares. Children between the ages of 6 and 15 enjoy free travel on all the Zillertalbahn steam trains when accompanied by an adult.
